WINDMILL LAKES TO HOST UNITED WAY’S ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
Event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007

Eager to play more golf before winter comes along?  Want to play a round of 18 holes and help out a worthwhile cause at the same time?  Have we got a deal for you!

Plan to attend United Way of Portage County’s annual golf outing, hosted this year by Windmill Lakes Country Club, Ravenna, on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, beginning at 12 noon.  This community-wide event will benefit local human services programs and agencies funded by United Way of Portage County.

The golf outing features a 4-person scramble (players can sign up as a group or individually).  Cost is $125 per person or $500 per team.  $600 corporate sponsorships are available (hole sponsorship included in package).  The fees include lunch, dinner, gifts, golf cart and range, plus chances to win great prizes.  Non-golfers are welcome to attend the dinner for a fee of $50 per person.  Hole sponsorships (if not part of a corporate sponsorship) are $200 per hole.  Reservations are required.  To make a reservation or to obtain further information, please call Mary at the United Way office: 330-297-1424, ext. 110, or email her at:  mary@uwportage.org.  Deadline for reservations:  Monday, September 17.

Bill Griffith, current chair of the Portage United Way’s campaign committee, notes:  “We are grateful to Windmill Lakes for their generosity in hosting our golf outing this year. A number of foursomes have already signed up, and we are looking forward to a successful event.  What a combination: a fun event for a very good cause.”
