United Way, Hiram College, host event to honor top donors

August 2006 

United Way of Portage County and Hiram College united on August 12, 2006 to recognize leaders in the community who “raise the bar” for philanthropic support in our community.

The third annual United Way Leadership Recognition Event, sponsored by Hiram College, was held in gratitude of the organization’s Rainbow Club Leadership Donor’s, a select group of community members who pledge more than $1,000 annually to help fund United Way’s 46 partner social service programs. United Way programs serve children, adults, families, and senior citizens, the disabled and disadvantaged individuals in Portage County.
