United Way of Portage County is on the
Move!
Ravenna (August 7, 2006) - The offices of United Way
of Portage County/United Way 211 Portage are relocating,
effective Monday, August 14, 2006. All phone and fax numbers
will remain the same and services will not be interrupted. The
new address is: 218 West Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
Steve Kleiber, president/CEO of United Way of Portage County,
explains: “This move will give us greater visibility in the
community and easier access for our volunteers, clients and area
residents. It also provides improved work space for our staff,
which will give us greater efficiency and allow us to continue
keeping our costs low. We are also glad to maintain our
presence in downtown Ravenna.”
United Way of Portage County is currently in the midst of its
Pacesetter campaign, in which key area companies run early
campaigns at their workplaces to “set the pace” for the general
campaign, which begins in September. “The needs in the county
are growing, while the sources of help are shrinking,” notes
Kleiber. “We want to remind Portage County residents that their
generosity will help their neighbors, coworkers, friends…or even
members of their own families. Our tagline for this year’s
Portage County campaign is: ‘“We’re all in this together.’ We
know that together we can transform lives, right here at home.”
