Neil Mann, Allen Aircraft CEO,
Named Honorary Chair
of United Way of Portage County’s 2006 Campaign
Ravenna (March 24, 2006) - Neil W.
Mann, Jr., President/CEO of Ravenna-based Allen Aircraft
Products, Inc., has been tapped to serve as honorary chair of
United Way of Portage County’s 2006 campaign.
Allen Aircraft Products, Inc. is one
of United Way of Portage County’s largest supporters, both as a
corporate donor and via its annual employee campaign. Steve
Kleiber, President/CEO of United Way of Portage County, states,
“We are extremely pleased to have Neil Mann as the honorary
chair of our upcoming campaign. In this key role, critical to
our overall success, Neil’s leadership will make a significant
difference in our fundraising efforts on behalf of Portage
County residents in need.”
Mann is no stranger to community
involvement. In addition to heading Allen Aircraft, where he
has been employed since 1959, Mann currently serves on the
boards of the Ravenna Rotary, the Akron Chapter of the National
Tooling and Machining Association (he is also a past president
of both organizations), and the Robinson Memorial Foundation.
Previously, he served on the boards of the Portage County
American Cancer Society, the Portage County Muscular Dystrophy
Association, the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce, and Walsh
Jesuit High School. Mann has also been the recipient of
numerous area service awards.
United Way of Portage County is
committed to helping make meaningful improvements in the lives

Additionally, United Way of Portage
County funds the 211 Portage program, a free referral and
information service, available to all Portage County residents,
that connects families and individuals with a wide range of
community resources and volunteer opportunities.
